Remington Subsonic .308 WIN 190gr BHP - 20 rounds

Remington Subsonic .308 WIN 190gr BHP - 20 rounds

Shoot quietly with the Remington Subsonic .308 Win 190 gr Bonded Hollow Point, a rifle load built for suppressed shooting. It is loaded to stay below the speed of sound, so it removes the supersonic crack that a suppressor cannot quiet. With a suppressor, that leaves a much lower report downrange.

Each round pairs a 190-grain bonded hollow point with a brass case. Remington uses custom-tuned powders and dependable primers to hold velocity tightly and keep the bullet from going supersonic. The bullets are enclosed-base designs with no exposed lead on the heel, which helps limit lead buildup in suppressor baffles and ports. A heavy subsonic bullet also keeps the energy delivered to the target up at reduced speed.

The reduced velocity cuts recoil, so follow-up shots come easier. That makes this load a good fit for predator and varmint hunting, training, and range days in noise-sensitive areas, with the suppressor you already shoot or a new one. Each box holds 20 rounds of .308 Winchester. Subsonic rifle loads run at lower pressure than standard ammunition, so test them in your own rifle before relying on them. Ammunition sales are subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws, including age requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What bullet and caliber is the Remington Subsonic 27746?
A: It is a .308 Winchester load with a 190-grain bonded hollow point in a brass case. The box holds 20 rounds.

Q: Is this ammo meant to be shot through a suppressor?
A: Yes. Remington designed the Subsonic line for use with a suppressor. Staying below the speed of sound removes the supersonic crack, and the enclosed-base bullets help reduce lead buildup in the suppressor. It also fires fine unsuppressed, just with a normal muzzle report. See our suppressor lineup to pair it with.

Q: Will it cycle my semi-auto rifle?
A: It may not. Subsonic loads run at lower pressure and often won't cycle a semi-auto reliably without gas system adjustment. A bolt-action rifle, or a semi-auto with an adjustable gas system, is the safest choice. Always test it in your own rifle first.

Q: What is it good for?
A: Suppressed predator and varmint hunting, training, and range shooting where noise is a concern. Heavier bonded hollow points keep more energy than light subsonic bullets, but this is not a heavy-game load.

Q: How many rounds are in a box?
A: There are 20 rounds per box.
