How do I connect the solar panel to the 6.5 gallon directional fish feeder? I could not find any instructional diagrams online. I'm assuming a 6v battery in addition to this solar panel is not required. Is this correct? Thanks.
All the Moultrie feeders have a power port on them that allows their solar panels and power panels to be plugged into the feeders.
This solar panel, Moultrie 6 Volt Deluxe Solar Panel, would require a battery for it to charge. It will not run the feeder without a battery.
The Moultrie Feeder Solar Power Panel, found here, can be plugged into the feeder and does not need a battery since it has one built in.
Ensure a continued source of power for your wildlife feeders and trail cameras with Moultrie's solar panel. Redesigned connections allow you to plug solar panel into game feeder or digital trail camera (compatible with cameras powered by 6-volt batteries only). Retro fitted with alligator clips for feeders and cameras purchased before June 2007. Trickle charge maintains battery life and will never overcharge 6-volt batteries. Power Cord is 21"
