S&W M&P15 AXE SBR — .300 Blackout, 8"

Smith & Wesson M&P15 AXE .300 BLK 8in 30+1 SBR - Black

Get a suppressor-optimized short-barreled rifle built on Smith & Wesson's proven M&P15 platform — the M&P15 AXE SBR pairs an 8" .300 Blackout barrel with Gemtech's GVAC system, delivering genuinely reduced gas blowback when running suppressed.

The GVAC (Gemtech Vented Adjustable Carrier) upper is the standout feature here — it's specifically engineered to mitigate the gas and blowback that gets pushed back toward the shooter's face when firing a suppressed short-barreled rifle, a real comfort and eye-protection advantage over a standard upper running suppressed. The 8" threaded barrel (5/8x24) is ready to accept a suppressor, and .300 Blackout is purpose-matched to the short barrel length, delivering reliable performance in both subsonic and supersonic loads where a 5.56 platform would lose significant velocity at this length.

Ambidextrous controls — bolt release, magazine catch, and manual thumb safety — make this rifle equally comfortable to run for right- or left-handed shooters. It ships with the Magpul CTR adjustable stock and front and rear flip sights, and the 30-round capacity gives you real magazine capacity in a genuinely compact, maneuverable package suited for close-quarters use, home defense, or a suppressed hunting setup.

Whether you're building a dedicated suppressed .300 Blackout SBR, want the comfort advantage of a GVAC upper when running suppressed, or need a maneuverable rifle for close-quarters applications, the M&P15 AXE SBR delivers real, purpose-built engineering rather than a standard rifle with a shorter barrel bolted on.

This is an NFA item (short-barreled rifle) and requires a completed ATF Form 4 application.
