We did a quick test for a customer who was looking at 36 Cal suppressors. We tested sound suppression between the Silencerco Omega 36M, the Huxwrx Flow Range 36 TI, and the Rugged Alaskan 360. It was windy, so we didn't pull out the decibel reader, plus this was just to satisfy the customer so he would know which is the quietest and what to expect shooting subsonic. We used a CMMG .338 ARC with subsonic ammo.
Our Take:
Sound: Silencerco Omega 36M is just a touch quieter than the other two. The Huxwrx Range 36 Ti and the Rugged Alaskan 360 sounded about the same to the naked ear.
Weight: Huxwrx Flow Range 36 Ti is about an ounce lighter at 8.4oz (can only, no adapters), where the Alaskan 360 is 9.4oz and the Omega 36M is 9.2oz-12.5oz (modular)
Versatility: Silencerco Omega 36M is modular so you can remove a portion to make the full length version (7.6"-12.5oz) shorter (5.1"-9.2oz).
Blowback: Huxwrx Flow 36 Ti has more flow and less blowback on AR platform rifles.
