The first question ask from Harvey concerned paying for less than 12 months. The answer given was to pay month to month but the second sentence of the answer made me think there was a limit to the months you could have the service turned off. So to be clearer, exactly how many months out of the 12 in a year can you elect to not pay for the service?
If you choose the month to month service, you can turn it on or off any time (you have to pay by the month). There is no number of months you have to have it active. Strictly pay for the months you want to use it and that is all.
with the monthly subscription, can I pay for just the months(month by month) that I want to use the camera or do I have to purchase a yearly contract? Thanks in advance.
You only pay month to month. If you do not want to use it for a month or two, you just stop the subscription and then pick it back up when you want to start using it again.
I have cell phone through Walmart, straight talk, but the signal goes through Verizon will this work?
It does not matter what carrier your smartphone is using. You want to purchase the camera model that gets the best service where you are going to place the camera (either Verizon or ATT). This service has to go through one of these carriers. You can not sign it up with another carrier even if they are leasing towers from AT&T or Verizon.
How many pictures can I get on 1 set of batteries?
We have not gone through a complete set of batteries yet with our test camera, but we are estimating about 1200 pictures per set of batteries. That would be almost 6 weeks if the camera took 30 images per day. Spypoint dies offer an external 12v battery kit for their cameras which would extend the life quite a bit. Here is the link to the Spypoint 12v Battery Kit. https://www.nativeoutdoors.com/spypoint-12v-external-battery-kit-for-spypoint-cameras.html
