Primos Truth Cam 35 Game Camera
The Truth 35 is an easy to use toggle switch based camera that has a fast trigger. The flash is average at 40 feet, and the detection zone can reach out to about 50 feet but is a little narrow. This is a good starter camera with some of the features of its big brothers (Truth 46 and 60) like a fast trigger speed and fast wake up time. (read

2011 Wildview TGL5IRNXTS1
The
X5IR 5.0MP game camera is the latest camera in the
Wildview line. A more intense
flash and shorter time out settings make this a step above previous
TGL models. A new case design with camo wrapping
helps conceal the game camera in the field. Toggle
switch controls make setup a snap, and you know exactly
what you have the camera set on without having to scroll
through cumbersome LCD menus. The external image
counter lets you see how many pictures the game camera has
taken without even touching it.
5.0 mega pixel custom color camera for day shots
Infrared night pictures
Accepts SD Memory Cards (up to 16GB)
Invisible infrared flash 40 ft range
IR Range Contols
Day/night-video clips (15/30/60 sec)
Date/time/moon stamp on every image & last frame of video
4 Time Out Settings (20 sec/1/5/10 minute)
Burst Mode Shoots 1/3/6 images
"No Flash" Uses 24 Infrared Emitters to illuminate
Low-battery indicator
Power Source 4 C-cell batteries or
External jack accepts optional 12V battery kit
Includes Tree strap
Four-digit external image counter
Model TGLX5IRNXT
2011 Wildview TGL5IRNXTS1
The new 5.0 MP version, of probably the easiest game camera to use,
is about the same as the previous year's model. A new case design is the real difference in the new model and a nice addition of NXT-G1 camo on the front side of the new cover. Other than that, this scouting camera has not changed much over last year's model which is a good camera to place on a feeder or watering hole.
In the $100 class, this camera is about average, and will work will if you want an easy to use camera to "just see what is out there".

The

being said, there are not a lot of bells and whistles on
this unit, but if you are looking for a decent camera with a
good infrared flash and pretty good battery life, then this
might be the ticket. The daytime pictures look good
and the nighttime pictures are a little blurry with
movement, but most cameras in the $100 class are. (read

Stealth Cam Archer's Choice Game Camera
This
camera gets kudos on just about everything except battery
life. If you add the Stealth Cam External Battery Kit,
you might just have a winner. This camera takes great
quality pictures in 3, 5 or 8MP and has a time lapse that
can run 24 hours, which will probably run your batteries
down in one night (but is the only camera on the market that
offers a time lapse at night). Adding an external
battery kit might resolve the battery issue if time lapse at
night is needed. Make sure you are
using 3MP images in time lapse or you will fill up your card
in a matter of hours. This camera is capable of
utilizing a 16GB card, but only some brands of 16GB cards
work (See chart in manual for more info). (read more)

During
testing of this camera (and the W6x), we came across white
out issues with dawn and dusk images. We feel that
these times of day are too important to allow a camera to
have un-viewable images. We have pulled the testing on this
camera until an update occurs. We did provide our
findings up until we stopped testing. A good trigger
speed, Decent flash, good detection zone and active mode
setting (day/night/24hour) give this camera promise.

Moultrie M100 Game Cameras
M100
- On the low end of the $200 price range the Moultrie M100
takes Best in Class $200″ over some more
expensive and close competitors. The M100 game camera
just falls behind the 2011 Bushnell Trophy Cam in battery
life and and trigger speed, but excels in the impressive new
Illumi-Night flash which seems to light up the whole night
with IR light waves. This amazing flash gives the
Moultrie M100 scouting camera the edge when it comes to
night time pictures. The addition of a time lapse mode with
morning and evening settings and the option to set as a time
lapse camera during the day and a standard PIR activated
camera at night make the M100 game camera a winner... (read more)

Bushnell Trophy Cam Game Cameras
Bushnell
has had the Trophy Cam in the market for a few years now, and
keep improving this small jewel. One of the smallest
game cameras at a mere 5.5" x 3.5" package, it is
perfect for those multi-camera setups and easily fits into a
backpack or fanny pack.
The 2011 Trophy Cam has added a time lapse feature allowing
the camera to take pictures at preset intervals between 1-60
minutes. This is great for using the camera as a
security device or to measure the work that is being done on
a construction site, not to mention its capabilities as a
food plot or watering hole monitor. Other improvements
include a faster nighttime shutter speed making for sharper
focus of night time images.

Bushnell Trophy Cam Game Cameras
2011 - The 2011 Trophy
Cam has a good detection zone allowing it to capture more
pictures than some of the other cameras around. It has
an o.k. flash range of about 40 feet, so make sure your
subject will be within that range when setting up the
camera. Some of the advantages over the previous year
model is a cleaner night time picture and the new time lapse
feature offering a realistic time lapse interval of about 5
seconds and up (even though there is a setting for 1
second). (read

Cuddeback Attack IR Game Camera
The Cuddeback Attack IR is the latest
camera from Cuddeback. The #1 issue with this camera is that it just does not capture as many pictures as other cameras. This is due to their "Centered Subject Technology" which means that the animal will only trigger the camera if it is in the center of the frame, giving this camera a very narrow PIR detection zone. This is not a bad thing if you place the camera on a feeder, or on a trail where the subject must walk directly in front of the camera. This might not be a good camera to place where the deer can walk all around the camera and not necessarily in front of the camera.
