Crit R Call Predator Call

Crit’R•Call predator calls come in three models : Magnum, Standard and the PeeWee. All models are open-reed, plastic extrusion, molded for long life, are tough, and easy to service and to maintain. All Crit’R•Calls are sold with detailed instruction booklets and a selection of alternative reed shapes and materials to add sound versatility and convenience to your calling. If one reed is not completely satisfactory or you feel you need a change, substitute a different one. The reeds can also be trimmed and sanded to adjust their sounds.

The plastic is tough and will last a lifetime if protected from excessive heat. The plastic is selected for durability, flexibility, non-freezing surface, and most important—the sound carrying capacity it has to mimic sound coming out of the tissue of mammals. They are freeze-proof, foolproof, and the ultimate of dependability, so there are no breakdowns of the call at the critical moment when the predator appears. The open-reed design allows the reed to stand away from the call platform so moisture blows through. It does not freeze the reed to the platform.

The Crit’R•Call Standard was first patented in 1977 so has many years of successful experience. There are thousands of those first Crit’R•Calls still in use with the original reeds, still singing the sweet song of rabbit death.

Each model is sold with a selection of reeds of three basic thicknesses: .0075", .010", or .015" to .0175". Reeds are the essential and only working part of all Crit’R•Calls.
